It's been over two years since the recording project began, and it seems like the thing has taken on a life of its own. It all started when I recorded a couple of songs with a band, and then the band broke up (of course!). I knew I had the beginnings of a great record, but the two tracks needed some tweaking, and I had seven more songs to record. Drums were easy - I could just record a "scratch" vocal with me playing acoustic guitar, and since I had the sound of the songs in my head - I could record drums as if I were playing with a full band. Then, I had to hire musicians and book studio times. Fortunately, I knew a great studio that had badass acoustics - The Sanctuary, run by Mikie Martel. It was a beginning...
